Three Injured When Jeep Crashes Into SUV Head On In Area

According to Danbury police, the crash took place around 11:46 p.m. Friday in the area of 26 Newtown Road, said Det. Lt. Mark Williams.

The crash occurred when a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Eueal Dagne, 38, of Bethel, traveling westbound on Newtown Road collided head-on with a 2002 GMC Envoy, driven by Robert Bates, 54, of Brookfield, along with passenger, Lisa Munger, 49, of New Milford, Williams said.

Both drivers and the passenger were transported to Danbury Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. 

The collision is under investigation by the Danbury Police Department’s Traffic Unit.
